Like a Cat Takes to Water
Author: Steven J. Mittler

Splitter splat pitter pat.
Sloppy paws of a very wet cat.

The bath you ran was much too hot,
You should’ve warned kitty but you forgot.

Fur on a rampage, fuzz on a rant
Racing and zooming down the old bathtub’s slant.

Claws upon porcelain cannot dig in
This is one battle that kitty can’t win.

Greeting the water was kitty’s fate S
arcastically thinking ‘Oh this is great’.

Slogging on past you she gives you the eye
‘You did that on purpose, You’re not a nice guy.’

With thoughts of revenge still stuck in her head,
She dries herself off with your comfy bed.
