It’s Summertime! First Aid Kit Supply List & Printable

It’s summertime. A time for rolling down hills, playing in sandboxes, swinging to new heights and jumping into lakes. So much fun for everyone. No matter what age, most of us can’t wait to play. There are mountains to climb, sand castles to be built and meadows to explore.

All of these exuberant activities keep us a young at heart and provide ample opportunities for bumps, bruises, scrapes, burns, cuts, blisters, stings and so much more. It’s a wonder we actually keep going back for more! But we’re humans with natural curiosities to indulge.

Well, if we’re going to indulge ourselves, we might as well be prepared.

Thanks to the folks at Influenster I recently received a complimentary Neosporin Neo To Go! in my TLCVoxBox for product testing and review. I decided it was an excellent time to redo/update my First Aid Kit. I thought perhaps other people might have use of the useful list I put together as well.

WHEN TO UPDATE: I recommend updating your first aid kit at the end of Winter, beginning of Spring. Sometimes life has a way of throwing spontaneous fun our way and it’s good to prepared for our first outing.

WHAT TO UPDATE: Besides restocking supplies that have been used, be certain to check for expired medicines and ointments.

A Large one for the house.
A Large one for camping gear.
A Medium one for each car.
A Medium one for hiking gear.
A Mini one for purses and/or baby bags.

THE CONTAINER: Your container does not have to be fancy! You can use tackle or tool boxes, plasticware, old tins, lunch boxes, etc. It’s a great & fun way to be creative and get in a little craft time. Use a little paint to spruce it up and make it your own.
Here are a few examples:
Sweet Paul’s Crafty First Aid Kit: A simple sewing project. Perfect for purses & baby bags.
Altoids Tin First Aid Kit: With a little paint for the outside, this small tin is perfect for a purse.

WHERE AND HOW TO STOCK/RESTOCK: Stocking your first kit doesn’t need to break the bank. Make a visit to your local dollar store to get started. After that, pick up one or two items a paycheck until you have your kit solidly built.
